Frequently Asked Questions
What is NeatClub?
NeatClub is a dating app with STD verification. It is a club of people who love having sex but like to have it safely to reduce the risk of getting infected by Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). All the members of NeatClub are prompted to get tested frequently and verified for STDs.

We are currently open to people who are tested negative for all the STDs that we track. We are opening up to people with life-long STDs like Herpes, Hepatitis and HIV soon, hang in there!
What STDs NeatClub verify?
We track HIV 1 & 2, Herpes 1 & 2, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Trichomoniasis and HPV (Only in women). Please refer to the the complete list of STD tests that we verify for more details.

Please note that there is no test available to detect HPV in men but it is easy to protect yourself from HPV by taking HPV Vaccination. It provides protection against certain types of HPV. Please bear in mind that it does not provide protection against all types of HPV infections.

Currently, we do not verify Bacterial Vaginosis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease(PID), Chancroid, Mucopurulent Cervicitis, Molluscum Contagiosum, Lymphogranuloma Venereum, Warts, Crabs, and Scabies; but these are treatable. Please get examined/tested for these STIs regularly to avoid any further complications.
Do you guarantee of a member not being infected with STDs that you verify?
No. It is not possible because sometimes STDs are not detected in the test or the person can get infected after getting tested. For the same reason we get all the members tested every four months to catch STDs asap.
Why should I use NeatClub if there is no guarantee of a member being uninfected?
Condoms also don't provide 100% prevention from STDs. Don't you still use it? NeatClub is like a second condom. It helps reducing the chances of getting infected even further by protecting you from people who are either lying about STDs or are not tested.
How to get STD status verified?
Find your less than four months old STD test results or get tested. We need results of following STD tests:

- HIV AG/AB, 4th Gen
- HSV 1 IGG
- HSV 2 IGG
- HSV IGM
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis: RPR W/REFL TITER
- HPV (Only for women)

Please request your doctor to prescribe the tests at a certified laboratory which delivers test results including HIV on an online patient portal. If you don't have your results on online patient portal, please email us at ashka@neactclub.org.

WE RECOMMEND QUEST DIAGNOSTICS
We highly recommend using Quest Diagnostics Lab for testing and MyQuest Patient Portal to receive your test results.

Once you have your test results on the portal, submit them on the app through STD status page. We will verify and update your status in 3-5 days.
What do you mean by 'neat' or 'STD Free'?
By 'STD Free' we mean that member's all test results are verified as negative by us. By 'neat' we mean 'neat whiskey'. Once you are verified as 'STD free', you will officially become a member of NeatClub and will be tagged as a glass of 'neat' whiskey'[

].

If you like your 'whiskey' neat, get on NeatClub! ;)
Why should I prefer to have sex with someone whose STD status is verified?
Here is why:

1. A lot of people have STDs: 20M new cases of STDs every year, 1 in 6 has Herpes, approximately 6.1M are living with hepatitis and 1.2M with HIV in the US.

2. Some people lie about their STDs.

3. Condoms are not enough, you can easily get infected even by oral sex or making out.

4. You can get infected from a person who has no apperant symptoms on the body.

5. A lot of people don’t know about their STDs because they are not tested.

How do I make sure that my date is tested negative for STDs recently if we did not meet through NeatClub?
Share your verified STD status on the app. If your date is not on NeatClub, request him/her to get verified by NeatClub.
What are STDs?
STDs stands for Sexually Transmitted Diseases. They are caused by infections that are passed from one person to another during sexual contact. Sexual contact includes making out, oral sex, vaginal sex and anal sex.

Some STDs like HIV 1 & 2, Herpes 1 & 2, Chronic Hepatitis B and C are uncurable. Others like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HPV, Hepatitis A, Trichomoniasis, Crabs, Bacterial Vaginosis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease(PID), Chancroid, Mucopurulent Cervicitis, Molluscum Contagiosum, Lymphogranuloma Venereum and Scabies are treatable.
What is the difference between STDs or STIs?
The infections caused by sexual contact often do not cause any symptoms. Medically, infections are called diseases only when they cause symptoms. That is why STDs are also called “sexually transmitted infections” (STIs).

At NeatClub, we use term “Sexually transmitted Disease (STD)”, even when there are no symptoms for the disease. This is due to the fact that an infected individual can often transmit the infection to the other person even when they do not show any symptoms.
